About SAMEER
SAMEER was set up as an autonomous R & D laboratory at Mumbai under the then Department of Electronics, Government of India with a broad mandate to undertake R & D work in the areas of Microwave Engineering and Electromagnetic Engineering Technology. It is an offshoot of the special microwave products unit (SMPU) set up in 1977 at the TATA INSTITUTE OF FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH (TIFR), Mumbai. SAMEER, Mumbai was setup in 1984.

Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Bachelor Degree in Technology (B.E. or B. Tech.) or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (ME or M.Tech) in Electrical Engineering with a minimum 55% Marks along with a Degree / PG Diploma in Industrial / Electrical Safety recognized by State/ Central Govt as per the industrial safety rules. Desirable: 1 or 2 years experience as Safety Officer
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Bachelor Degree in Technology (B.E. or B. Tech.) or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (ME or M. Tech) in the field of Electronics & Telecommunications, Electronics, Instrumentation & Controls, Microwaves or Masters in Electronics (M.Sc. Electronics) from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Bachelor Degree in Technology (B.E. or B. Tech.) or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (ME or M.Tech) in Computer Science/Information Technology with a minimum 55% Marks

- Electronics/Microwave/Medical electronics component level breadboard / printed circuit design experimentation, monitoring, fault analysis, test bench reports, integration, field evaluation activities, Physical and Visual Inspections, and laboratory upkeep and maintenance,
- Candidate should have passed ITI (Machinist) from govt. affiliated board of technical/vocational education and completed NCTVT with a minimum of 55% marks
Age Limit
The eligibility date for age will be the closing date of the receipt of the application as on the closing date of the advertisement. As this is a purely contract appointment, no age concession for reserved category, ex-servicemen, or others will apply.
How to Apply

- All interested candidates must log in to https://recruit.sameer.gov.in till midnight of the CLOSING DATE of the advertisement. Instructions along with a deadline for filling the forms are available in the same link. Once the candidate fills in the online information, s/he can edit it as s/he wants. Finally, the candidate/applicant must CLICK “FINAL SUBMIT” on which a PDF file will be generated. Candidates are required to get a printout of the PDF file and bring it along will all the originals and one set of photo copies of all the original documents when appearing for the written test and interview.
- Candidates will NOT be allowed to appear for the written test/interview without a print-out of the online submitted form (PDF file) as indicated above.
- Results of the screening test (written examination) will be announced and only those candidates who qualify will be called for interviews on the same date or on the date scheduled which will be announced accordingly.
- Candidates should possess the prescribed experience in one or more of the relevant fields as mentioned under the column “Experience” with documentary proof.
- The experience gained in Research Scientists/or equivalent posts will only be counted as relevant experience for Sr. Research Scientist. The crucial date for counting experience will be the closing date of applications. The relevant experience possessed before acquiring the essential qualifications will not be counted. Selection will be made purely on merit and mere work experience of SAMEER will be no ground for preference.
