As on date, NHPC Limited has become the largest organisation for hydropower development in India, with capabilities to undertake all the activities from conceptualization to commissioning in relation to setting up of hydro projects. NHPC Limited has also diversified in the field of Solar & Windpower. NHPC Limited presently has an installation base of 7071.2 MW from 24 power stations on an ownership basis including projects taken up in Joint Venture. Considering the impediments faced during the execution of these projects such as unfavorable geological conditions, difficult law and order problems, inaccessible and remote locations, the achievement so far is commendable. The generation performance of these stations has been outstanding.

Detailed Eligibility:
Educational qualification :
Trainee Engineer (Civil):
- The candidates must have completed a Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / B.Sc. (Engineering) Degree in Civil Discipline from a recognized Indian University / Institute approved by AICTE with minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade or AMIE (enrollment up to 31.05.2013) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade.
Trainee Engineer (Mechanical):
- The candidates must have completed a Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology / B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Mechanical Discipline from a recognized Indian University / Institute approved by AICTE with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade or AMIE (enrollment up to 31.05.2013) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade
- Mechanical Discipline includes Mechanical / Production / Thermal / Mechanical & Automation Engineering.
Trainee Engineer (Electrical):
- The candidates must have completed a Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology / B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Electrical Discipline from a recognized Indian University / Institute approved by AICTE with minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade or AMIE (enrollment up to 31.05.2013) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade
- Electrical Discipline includes Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics /Power Systems & High Voltage/ Power Engineering.
Trainee Officer (Finance):
- The candidates must have completed CA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India / ICWA or CMA from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (formerly known as Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India).
- Passed Candidates are eligible to apply.
Trainee Officer (Company Secretary):
- Candidates passed in Company Secretary qualification with Membership of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) are eligible to apply.

Salary :
- The Salary for the above-mentioned posts is Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000/ month
Selection Process for NHPC Recruitment 2022:
- The selection for the above-mentioned posts will be done based on Shortlisting the candidates as per merit based on the GATE – 2021 score, CA/CMA score, and CS score for Trainee Engineer (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical), Trainee Officer (Finance), and Trainee Officer (Company Secretary) respectively.
- The shortlisted candidates will be called to Corporate Office, Faridabad for verification of their documents/ certificates
- Candidates will be provisionally selected and extended an offer of appointment only after verification of the documents/ certificates
Application Fees:
The Application Fees for the above mentioned posts is
- Rs. 295 for Candidates belonging to General, EWS & OBC (NCL) category
- The SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Serviceman category candidates need not pay the registration fee.
