As on date, NHPC Limited has become the largest organisation for hydropower development in India, with capabilities to undertake all the activities from conceptualization to commissioning in relation to setting up of hydro projects. NHPC Limited has also diversified in the field of Solar & Windpower. NHPC Limited presently has an installation base of 7071.2 MW from 24 power stations on an ownership basis including projects taken up in Joint Venture. Considering the impediments faced during the execution of these projects such as unfavorable geological conditions, difficult law and order problems, inaccessible and remote locations, the achievement so far is commendable. Educational Qualification:
For Graduate Apprentice:
- The applicant should have passed the 04 Year Engineering Degree examination in respective disciplines from any institution recognized by AICTE through regular mode.
- The Applicant who has already completed 3 years, after having passed the qualifying Degree as of 01.01.2022 is not eligible to apply under this notification.
- Those who have acquired prior training/experience for more than one year as of 01.01.2022 are also not eligible to apply.
- A candidate who has already completed their apprenticeship training or terminated their apprenticeship training mid-way or pursuing an apprenticeship in any other organization or any other unit of NHPC is not eligible.

Period of Apprenticeship: 12 Months
Age Limit :
- 18 to 30 years
Upper age is relaxable by:
- 05 years for SC/ST
- 03 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)
NHPC Recruitment Selection Process :
- The selection of Apprentices shall be based on the basis of merit list prepared on the basis of marks secured in academics. Result awaited candidates need not apply.
- Medical fitness:-The candidate will have to submit a medical fitness certificate by the Competent Authority(Govt. Establishment) at the time of joining.
