ODISHA POWER TRANSMISSION CORPORATION LIMITED (OPTCL), one of the largest Transmission Utility in the country was incorporated in March 2004 under the Companies Act, 1956 as a company wholly owned by the Government of Odisha to undertake the business of transmission and wheeling of electricity in the State. The registered office of the Company is situated at Bhubaneswar, the capital of the State of Odisha. Its projects and field units are spread all over the State.

Educational Qualification:
Graduate Apprentice:
- A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University in relevant discipline.
- A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline.
Technician Apprentice:
- A Diploma in Engineering or technology granted by a State of Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline.
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a University in relevant discipline.
Age Limit:
The age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship rules

- Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering – 40 Posts
- Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering – 20 Posts
- Information Technology – 05 Posts
- Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering – 10 Posts
- Computer Science Engineering – 05 Posts
Technician Apprentice:
- Electrical Engineering – 40 Posts

Salary:
- Graduate Apprentice – Rs.9,000/month
- Technician Apprentice – Rs.8,000/month
