About GPSC

The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) was formed under article 315(1) in the Constitution of India on 1 May 1960. To select applicants for civil service in the Indian state of Gujarat according to the merits of the applicants and the rules of reservation. It was formed in 1960. As per Article no.316 Constitution of India, the State governor has the power to select members and chairman of their own state’s PSC.

GPSC Recruitment 2021 For Engineers

Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualification:

Junior Town Planner:

  •  A Bachelor’s Degree of Architecture or Civil Engineering/Technology and (ii) A Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in City Planning or Town Planning or Traffic or Transportation Planning or Regional Planning or Urban Design obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other Educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or a membership obtained by an examination of Insitute of Town Planners of India.;
  • Possess the basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Service Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967. Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.  Have at least five years of experience in the post.

Planning Assistant:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree of Architecture or Civil Engineering/Technology and (ii) A Diploma in City Planning or Town Planning or Regional Planning or Traffic or Transportation Planning or Urban Design obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other Educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or a membership obtained by an examination of institute of Town Planners of India;
  • Possess the basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Service Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967. Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Assistant Manager/Assistant Director:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Printing Technology or a Diploma in Printing Technology obtained from Technical Examination Board or from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956; or possess an equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government.
  • Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules,1967; 3. Have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. Have about two or four years of experience.

Deputy Director:

  • Possess a Post Graduate Degree with at least Second Class in Statistics or Applied Statistics or Mathematical Statistics or Business Statistics or Economics or Applied Economics or Business Economics or Econometrics or Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or Advanced Statistics as the principal subject or Possess a Ph.D. degree in Statistics or Applied Statistics or Mathematical Statistics or Business Statistics or Economics or Applied Economics or Business Economics or Econometrics or Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or Advanced Statistics as a principal subject from any of the universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
  • Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the GCS Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967; Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.  Have about five years’ experience in the post

Administrative Officer/Assistant Planning Officer:

  • Possess a Bachelor Degree obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India, or any other educational institutions recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 Or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government. and
  • Possess the basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967; and Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. Have about five years experience in the post

Principal:

  • Possess A Postgraduate degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade B in the seven-point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E, and F at the master degree level and  A Bachelor degree in education with at least 60% of the marks or its equivalent grade B in the seven-point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E and F at the degree level from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized by the Government as such or declared to be a deemed University under section 3 of the U.G.C. Act, 1956; or possess an equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government; and
  • Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967 3. Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. Have about 05 years of experience

Senior Drugs Inspector:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology or Pharm. D. obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section – 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
  • Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules,1967;  Have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. Have about 05 years experience.

Gujarat Administrative Service:

  • Any Graduate Appeared in last year or last semester of any Graduate Exam.

Age Limit: 

  • Assistant Manager – 21 years to 37 years
  • Administrative Officer – 21 years 40 years
  • Deputy Director – 21 years to 41 years
  • Principal – 21 years to 44 years
  • Planning Assistant – 18 years to 37 years
  • Junior Town Planner – 18 years to 42 years
