Engineering Dreams – Dream Of Becoming An Engineer

A childhood where we broke our toys just to find out what is happening inside it laid the first stone in becoming an engineer. Everyone is an Engineer in some or the other way, but only a few realize its true potential and incredibleness of it. Most of us guys still drool over the vrooming sound of a sports car and at least once in our lifetime we wished to be an automobile engineer and make a car as loud and cool as a Lambo. But the scenario is little different than you think. Most of the students opt Engineering thinking that. Yeah, after my 4 years B. Tech I am going to work in Ferrari and make some cool cars”, oops! There begins the first disappointment in an engineering student’s life. Engineering in India is nothing like what they have Imagined.

They learn about IC Engines different combustion systems, gears but all of the knowledge comes from the book, not from the real world. Engineering in Indian Colleges is not very much practical oriented as it was thought to be. Even for a professional degree in Engineering, it’s still a pattern to test our memory and by hearting capability. I bet more than 70% of engineering graduates have no clue why they study all those syllabuses. But worry not my friends the blame is not entirely on the system, but on the students too.

Every degree, every subject, be it engineering, medicine or even English literature, the knowledge you seek from outside the context of your syllabus is going to benefit you the most. It’s your curiosity and dedication that will make a difference in your future. An engineering aspirant has so many colleges in India with a different set of entrance examinations. Some of the Top National Level Engineering Entrance Exams are JEE Mains, BITSAT, VITEE, KEAM, COMEDK, SRMJEE, UPTU etc.
