Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning: Collaborating with the executive team to develop and implement the company’s strategic goals and objectives, aligning them with the overall business strategy.

2. Operations Management: Overseeing all operational aspects of the construction company, including project management, resource allocation, scheduling, and logistics, to ensure efficient and effective project execution.

3. Performance Management: Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the performance of different operational areas, and implementing strategies to optimize productivity, quality, and profitability.

4. Financial Management: Working closely with the CFO or finance team to develop and manage budgets, analyze financial data, control costs, and make strategic financial decisions to support business growth.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Relevant Experience: Extensive experience in the construction industry, preferably in a leadership or managerial role, is often sought after. This experience helps in understanding the industry dynamics, project management, and operational challenges.

2. Strong Leadership Skills: The Head of Operations should possess excellent leadership abilities to effectively manage and motivate teams, coordinate with different departments, and drive operational efficiency.

3. Project Management Expertise: Proficiency in project management methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall, can be valuable. This includes skills in planning, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and scheduling.

4. Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of construction techniques, building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards is essential. Knowledge of construction software and technology systems used for project management and documentation can also be advantageous.

Education:

  • UG: B.Tech/B.E. in Civil
  • PG: M.Tech in Civil, PG Diploma in Civil, MBA/PGDM in Operations
