Position – ASST Material Engineer / Engineer / LAB Technician-engg (QA/QC)
Job Description
Identification Selection construction material of Soil, Aggregate & Sand resources.
Sample collection of Borrow area & testing for its suitability in subgrade.
Prepare Job Mix formula for GSB, WMM, DBM, BC & PQC.
Design of different grades for PCC & RCC (with River Sand & Crusher Dust).
Checking plant & the quality of their products which includes stone crusher, WMM plant,
Hot Mix plant & concrete batching plant.
Conducting of all frequency tests in Construction as per standards.
Collection of samples for testing in the recognized laboratory.
Checking the calibration of the laboratory equipment from time to time & record upkeep.
Soil test like modified Proctor compaction test, plasticity index, grading analysis &
preparation & testing of CBR soil cement stabilization mix design.
Compressive strength for cement mortar cubes. Cement testing of Normal Consistency,
Initial & Final setting, Specific Gravity & Soundness.
Testing on Marshall Specimen includes unit weight, stability & flow. Calculations for percent air voids, percent voids in mineral aggregate filled with bitumen (VFB) & percent voids in mineral aggregates (VMA).
Tests on Bitumen include softening point, penetration, ductility & Viscosity test.
Preparation of monthly report & keeping the lab records up to date.
