About CMRL
The Government of Tamil Nadu created a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for implementing the Chennai Metro Rail Project. This SPV named as “Chennai Metro Rail Limited” was incorporated on 03.12.2007 under the Companies Act.
It has now been converted into a Joint Venture of Government of India and Government of Tamil Nadu with equal equity holding.

CMRL Recruitment 2017 – WALK-IN For Civil Engineer Posts – Job Description
Age Limit: Candidates maximum age should be 30 years as on 15-11-2017. Age relaxation is applicable for SC or SC (Arunthathiyars) or ST or any of the Most Backward Classes/ Denotified Communities or Backward Classes (other than Muslim) or Backward Class (Muslim) as per rules.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have B.E/ B.Tech in Civil Engineering with Master degree in Transportation Planning/ Transportation Engineering/ Urban Planning from a reputed University/ Institute recognized by Govt. for post-1, B.Arch. Graduation from a recognized Institute for post-2, Graduation in Civil Engineering or Equivalent from a reputed University/ Institute recognized by Govt. for post-3 with relevant experience.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on Medical Exam & interview.
